Taj Mahal stands on the bank of River Yamuna, which otherwise serves as a wide moat defending the Great Red Fort of Agra, the center of the Mughal emperors until they moved their capital to Delhi in 1637.
Trip Details:
- Day 01: Arrive in Delhi. Proceed for half day city tour of New Delhi
which includes Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajpath, Vijay Chowk.
Overnight at the hotel. - Day 02: After breakfast proceed for a half day city tour of old Delhi which includes Jama Masjid,Humayun’s Tomb,Qutub Minar, Delhi Fort.
Afternoon proceed to Agra (200 kms - 4 hours). In the evening visit the Taj Mahal.
Overnight at the hotel. - Day 03: After breakfast proceed for an half day city tour of Agra. Later in the afternoon
proceed to Jaipur (232 kms - 5 hours) - Reach by evening. Evening at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel. - Day 04 In the morning, after your breakfast proceed on a visit to the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha Rajputs, Amber. En-route visit the Hawa Mahal - the palace of wind. Later visit the City Palace and the apartment housing museums with an array of textiles, costumes, arms, weapons and paintings and finally visit Jantar-Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh-II.
